Horizontal Impact Test Systems(HITS)
Horizontal Impact Test Systems (HITS) simulate horizontal acceleration effects of vehicle braking and accelerating, rail switching, truck docking, and other types of horizontal impacts that occur during distribution and handling. Standard HITS models are specifically designed to test in accordance with ASTM D4169 Schedule G, ASTM D4003 and other corporate, industry and government specifications.
Custom HITS models are available that can perform tests in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) published Cargo Securement Rules, replicating the dynamics that a transported load experiences when vehicles are accelerating, braking, and turning
